The Telkom network Kenya has some of the cheapest and attractive data bundles that are more affordable compared to other networks such as Safaricom, Airtel etc. To purchase Telkom bundles, first ensure that you have topped up your line credit and then proceed to dial *544# and select the data bundle package of your choice.

Telkom PayBill Number

The Telkom network Kenya has initiated a more convenient way that subscribers who have access to Mpesa services can use to easily purchase airtime for their Telkom lines via their paybill number 777711.

In case you want to purchase data bundles you will need to take an extra step once airtime has been credited to your account from Safricom and purchase your data plan using the credited airtime. Below is a simple guideline on how to purchase Telkom airtime using M-Pesa paybill:

• Open your phone and go to the M-Pesa menu. You can also use Safaricom or the M-Pesa App.
• Open the lipa Na M-Pesa option and select the Paybill option
• Enter the Telkom Paybill number, 777711, and press okay
• Next, key in your Telkom number as the account number
• Enter the amount you want to spend on airtime and press okay
• Enter your secret M-Pesa PIN
• Confirm if the details are correct then press OK to complete the transaction.
• After successful submission, you will receive a confirmation SMS from M-pesa and Telkom for the transaction.

There other methods that one can use to buy Telkom airtime. They include Pesapal, Jazalink or Ipay Limited. However, these third party service providers charge Ksh.22 for every airtime exceeding Ksh.100.

These methods vary only in Paybill numbers but the steps they use to purchase airtime are very similar. Below is a guideline on how to purchase Telkom airtime using these third parties:

• On your phone and go to the M-Pesa menu. You can also use Safaricom or the M-Pesa App.
• Open the lipa Na M-Pesa option and select the Paybill option
• Enter the preferred Paybill number as the Business number and press okay, where by the Paybill numbers are as follows:
• Ipay Limited – 510800
• Jazalink – 309028
• Pesapal – 220220
• Next, key in your Telkom number as the account number
• Enter the amount you want to spend on airtime and press okay
• Enter your secret M-Pesa PIN
• Confirm if the details are correct then press OK to complete the transaction.
• After successful submission, you will receive a confirmation SMS from Telkom for the transaction as well as the Mobile money service provider

In addition to that, after the purchase of the airtime you are advised to ensure you keep the confirmation messages until your airtime has been received. This is to ensure ease of assistance from the able Telkom Customer Care team in case of any delay or complaint.

My Telkom account

Follow the guideline below to register a Telkom account via the Telkom App:

• Navigate the Telkom app and select the Register option
• Fill in all your personal details
• Next, agree to all the terms and conditions and select the next button to submit your details
• You will receive a (One Time Password) OTP via email. Key in the OTP code and click continue
• You have successfully registered your account.

Next, you will be required to link your account. Follow the simple guideline below to link your account:

• Upon the completion of the registration process, log in back into your Telkom profile and select account
• Select link account to link your product to your profile
• Select the account type (Residential / Business)
• Key in your Telkom account number
• Telephone number that is for LTE, your MSISDN number and for fibre, your B number
• You have successfully linked your Telkom products in your Telkom portal and now you can easily manage them.
