How to Check Helb Loan Status
Established in July 1995, the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) is a state corporation operating under the Ministry of Education.
It was formed by an Act of parliament, Higher Education Loans Board Act’ Cap 213A. HELB’s main aim is to ensure that Kenyans who want to pursue higher education can do so without having to worry about their inability to accumulate required funds.
How the statutory body increasing the chances of meeting this goal is by ensuring proper management of available finances.
Everyone who receives financial support from HELB is expected to make repayments in the future so that the money can be used to fund other students’ education.
It’s also important to note that Ksh 60,000 is the maximum amount of money that a student can receive, while Ksh 35,000 is the minimum.
