Kazi Mtaani Initiative Guidelines and Payments

Kazi Mtaani Initiative is aimed to provide a source of income to youth whose income sources were compromised by the COVID 19 pandemic. The program is also helping ensure a clean environment through projects such as frequent garbage collection. All new joiners are trained on maximizing the benefits that will result from engaging in the Kazi Mtaani Initiative. For instance, they get training on saving their earnings and investing to grow more wealth in the future.

Qualifications for you to join the Kazi Mtaani Initiative

Qualifying for the opportunities offered by this program isn’t as challenging as other jobs, especially in the formal sector. Below are the required qualifications if you hope to be part of Kazi Mtaani:

  1. Be of legal age (18 years and above).
  2. Possess a National ID card.
  3. The Initiative is aimed to benefit the youth in Kenya, so you must not be above 35 years of age.
  4. You should have a valid phone number that’s registered to the MPESA service. Ensure to provide the accurate number, as it will determine whether you’ll receive your cash or not.

How to register for the Kazi Mtaani Initiative

You need to consult your area chief on the dates that recruitment happens. Avoid trusting people who say that you can apply for available opportunities through the internet. Also, beware of people who may ask you to pay a fee, promising to give your application more priority.

The committee responsible for recruitment comprises the following:

  • Nyumba Kumi representatives.
  • Youth leaders
  • Informal settlement leaders
  • National Government Administration Officers (NGAO)
Kazi Mtaani Payment

You can earn from Kazi Mtaani as a worker or supervisor, taking home Ksh 455 and Ksh 505, respectively, daily. Payment happens through MPESA, so provide your active phone number and ensure it’s activated for this service
