To study social work at university you must have a diploma in human resources management (HRM). You will also need to take subjects like sociology or psychology so that you can understand how people think and behave.

 

3.     Electrical/electronics engineering – design, manufacturing, installation and maintenance of equipment

Electrical/electronic engineering – design, manufacturing, installation and maintenance of equipment.

Electrical engineers design electrical systems such as power distribution networks, electric motors and generators.

They also may be involved in the testing or production of new devices for markets in order to help develop new technology that may eventually replace existing products.

 

Electronics engineers work with electronics components such as transistors or diodes (semiconductors), integrated circuits (microchips) or microprocessors (computers).

 

4.     Mechanical engineering – manufacturing, operation and maintenance of equipment

Mechanical engineering is a broad discipline that encompasses the design, analysis, manufacturing and maintenance of machinery and mechanical systems.

 

It involves the application of scientific principles in the development of new products or processes. The field can be further divided into several subfields:

  • Aeronautical engineering -this includes topics such as aircraft propulsion, flight control systems and navigation technology.
  • Automotive engineering -this includes subjects such as automated steering systems in vehicles; engine control units used on cars; vehicle powertrain design (fuel injection); transmission systems used in cars etc.

 

 

5.     Information communication technology (ICT) – computer systems design and related services, web and multimedia applications development

Information communication technology (ICT) is a broad field of study that includes computer science and information technology.

 

It encompasses a wide range of sub-disciplines, including

  • web and multimedia applications development
  • database management systems
  • computer hardware design
  • manufacturing, telecommunications networks or services

 

ICT diploma courses deal with the study of how computers can be used to solve problems in ways that were previously impossible or impractical by people using traditional methods.

This may include writing software applications designed specifically for use on specific platforms (e.g., Windows).

It also involves understanding how people interact with technology through such things as human-computer interaction design.

  • Construction Management (CM)

It is a major emphasis area that helps you understand how to manage projects from inception through construction completion phases.

8.     Business administration and management – banking, finance and insurance services
