Huawei produces some of the best appealing and eye-catching smartphones in the country in terms of specs and functionality. The Y9A from the Y series was announced and released in September 2020.

Huawei Y9A Display and Weight

Huawei made a low-price masterpiece on this device that is made of glass front, plastic back and plastic frame that measures 163.5×76.7x9mm and that weighs 197g. The phone is sleek, comfortable with well cut out edges and stylish. It is appealing to the eye in terms of design. It is a dual Nano-SIM with dual stand-by and has network connectivity of GSM, HSPA and LTE.

It comes with TFT IPS LCD screen, with 6.63 inches worth of display, a resolution of 1080×2400 pixels and a density of 397PPI. That’s a big screen with high end display and best image display on the screen. It is a 90Hz display that means smoother transition of apps, fast image display and even better image quality.

Huawei Y9A Processor

It runs in android version 10 and Huawei’s EMUI 10.1. It is chipped with Mediatek Helio G80 (12nm) chipset, Octa-core (2×2.0 GHz cortex-A75 & 6×1.8GHz Cortex-A55) CPU and Mali-G52 MC2 GPU. The chipset together with the CPU and GPU ensures nothing but smooth loading game engines, hyper engine connectivity enhancement, boosted AI camera performance, Multi-camera photography and premium picture quality alongside reduced power consumption.

Huawei Y9A Storage

It is a 128GB storage device with either 6GB of RAM or 8GB of RAM to choose from and can be expanded to 256GB through the Nano-memory slot.

Huawei Y9A Camera

Huawei does not disappoint when it comes to camera quality and Y9A is not an exception. The device has a quad camera setup with 64MP 26mm (wide) PDAF main camera; 8MP 120° (ultra-wide), a 2MP depth sensor and 2MP macro lens camera with apertures of f/1.8, f/2.4, f/2.4, f/2.4 respectively.  Features that support the camera include a quad LED flash, HDR and Panaroma and has the ability to record 4k@30fps videos as well 1080p@30fps videos.

The front camera of the device is a motorized pop-up 16MP f/2.2 wide angle camera with HDR and ability to record 1080p@30fps.

Huawei Y9A Battery

Huawei Y9a comes fueled with a 4200mAh Li-Po non-removable battery and a charging capacity of up to 22.5W/40W which is region dependent. It has an inbuilt loudspeaker and a 3.5mm Jack for external sound sharing.

Bluetooth, Color, Connectivity

Sensors fitted into the device include a fingerprint scanner (rear mounted) accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass and gravity sensors. Y9A comes with Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, Wi-Fi direct and Hotspot for connectivity, Bluetooth 5.1, A2DP, BLE, AAC for fast file sharing, USB Type-C for charging, A-GPS, GLONASS, BDS for location and file tracking and unfortunately doesn’t come with FM Radio.

It is available in three Colors that include: Space silver, sakura Pink and Midnight Black.

This is definitely a device to go for with aims of durability, style, power, speed and functionality. Huawei Y9A does not come with Google play services which is the major turnoff of the device but is overall worth the price.
